Dueodde
named for the white-sand southThe lightest room in the farmhouse. Three windows, a double bed and a daybed, and morning sun from two sides. Named for the lighthouse on the southern tip — the whitest sand in Denmark.
Krummeled is a place name older than most of Denmark — traced back to a Viking-age Krummeborg, a curving gateway in the rural northwest of Bornholm. The name has stayed; so has the feeling. We've kept it small.
A farmhouse with three rooms — each one named for a corner of the island. And out in the garden, a luxury shelter built for sleeping under the leaves. A fire pit, room to roam, and the kind of dark sky you forget exists. Stay direct, or find us on Airbnb. Either way, you arrive somewhere quieter than where you came from.
Three guest rooms in our farmhouse, each one borrowing its name from somewhere on Bornholm. A standalone luxury shelter sits at the edge of the garden. Book direct for the best rate, or through Airbnb if you'd rather.
The lightest room in the farmhouse. Three windows, a double bed and a daybed, and morning sun from two sides. Named for the lighthouse on the southern tip — the whitest sand in Denmark.
A room up under the eaves, with sloped white ceilings and a window that catches the slow Bornholm light. Named for the granite-cliff fortress in the north — the largest medieval ruin in Northern Europe.
A warm, quiet room with a pendant lamp and two windows onto the garden. Named for the old quarry lake near Hammershus — water the colour of an opal, holding the cliffs that keep it.
A leaf-thatched curved frame with a real mattress and a wooden deck. The front opens to the trees, the bonfire, and the stars — the closest thing to sleeping outside, without actually sleeping outside.
More daylight than anywhere else in Denmark. Granite cliffs in the north, white-sand beaches in the south, smokehouses on every coast and round 12th-century churches between them. You can cycle the whole island in a long weekend — or take a year and still find new corners.
The closest town. Fresh-smoked herring, Friday harbour markets, the ferry to Sweden.
An old granite quarry filled by rain — water the colour of an opal, ringed by tall cliffs. Swim, kayak, or just sit.
The largest medieval fortress in Northern Europe, on a granite cliff above the Baltic.
The whitest sand in Denmark, at the island's southern tip. Long, wide, and quiet outside July.
Bornholm's largest forest. Echo Valley, hidden lakes, the highest point on the island. Hike, cycle, or sit on the Echo Valley benches and listen.
The largest of Bornholm's four round churches, raised around 1150. Worship below, defence above. Whitewashed and quietly strange.
The prettiest harbour town on the east coast. Steep alleys to a working port, smokehouses, and a dish named after the place.
The Sanctuary Cliffs. Granite formations 1.7 billion years old, dropping into the Baltic next to Bornholm Art Museum.
Book through us and you skip the Airbnb fees, get a small welcome basket from our neighbour's farm, and a real human to ask about boats, bicycles, and the best smokehouse for a Tuesday lunch.
